Orphan Black: Season 2 trailer

The clone wars are only just beginning ...

Season one of BBC America’s science-fiction thriller Orphan Black gave us a tour de force performance by its star Tatiana Maslany, who not only played seven different clones over the course of the series but at times also had to subtly portray them imitating at each other. It was an eye-catching debut which deservedly earned Maslany a number of awards and a Golden Globe nomination.

BBC America have now released a minute-long trailer for season two, which premieres in the US on April 19th. Sarah Manning is searching for her missing daughter Kira and each of the surviving clones is in some way wrapped up in the conspiracy that was unveiled at the end of season one.

The trailer ends with the revelation of a dead clone. But which one? Is it one of the characters we have encountered already – or a new version?

The BBC is yet to confirm a UK airdate, but season one aired six months after the US last year so we will probably have to wait until the autumn to find out.
