Episode three of The Musketeers followed a number of explosive plotlines (both literally and figuratively) as both Rochefort and Milady de Winter used the art of seduction to further their personal agendas at the expense of Treville’s Musketeers and their allies.

  1. Good review. Like you, I found the A plot a bust and rather dull. I was amazed at Milady’s quick success in seducing the King but, as I write in my review, who could resist Maimie McCoy? The show still feels a little pre-watershed and I wish it would grow up just a bit.

    • I guess Louis remains a weak man, and one caught at a low moment with ‘his’ son gravely ill. Being discovered by Anne, though – awkward!
