1. As Tom Jones notes, four of Rita Ora‘s eight remaining contestants are Welsh. But how many will make it through to the live shows?

2. Rita admits to being star-struck over one of her own acts.

3. One of the contestants chooses a song with a particularly strong emotional connection, as they used to sing it to their grandfather.

4. Joe Woolford‘s choice of Outkast’s Hey Ya is guaranteed to please Rita – she recorded an acoustic cover of the same song on YouTube in 2011.

5. One of Will’s singers says, “I’m just so average.”

6. Another of Will’s acts changes their song after he calls their original choice of Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name “a little too safe”.

7. Tom notes that one of Will’s contestants “sounded too comfortable”. It’s not meant as a positive comment.

8. When talking about one of his acts, Will says, “I feel like a kid in Disney.”

9. Esmée Denters sings Stevie Wonder’s As, a song she has previously performed for Billboard’s Mashup Mondays series.

10. Will’s Wacky Metaphors are back! This week’s theme is animals, as he talks about ducks and dragons.

11. At least one of the six qualifiers for next week’s first live show lost their battle round (but was subsequently stolen).

12. Only two of this week’s 16 song choices were UK number ones: Dead or Alive’s You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) and Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life.
